Is it okay to Re-Gift?

I don't see any problem with it, but there are limits to every situation, and it depends on your definition of re-gift. Whether to buy new or re-gift mostly comes down to who you are buying for, and how much they trust you.
For example, my friends here in Oregon would be super happy to know their gift used to serve a purpose for someone else. Sure, it's great I took time to pick out a gift, but the cherry on top is the story behind the gift - and every gift has a story.

Take this gorgeous, holiday throw pillow. Like new and purchased from an estate sale. This pillow online is twice the price I paid. Cheapskate you say. Not So. My free time is valuable, and my friends know I have an eye for detail. If it gets past my junk-o-meter, you know it's a treasure worth keeping.
Purposely shopping at estate and yard sales makes you feel good too. Knowing your purchase might help pay someone's medical bills, or even their mortgage.
Some call this conscious re-gifting, and others might say, what a crock! Either way, these pillows will be re-gifted by someone, and their story will continue.

I like your thought process! Re-gifting is a great way to “pay it forward”. It’s giving a gift to someone that although would be second-hand to us, but it would then be considered “new” to them, and we simultaneously find a useful way to recycle things we no longer need or want. By the way, I love the pillows!
